Bloody Mary Oyster Shots
Pop a fresh oyster into each shot glass and add about half a shot of vodka to each glass. Then add tomato juice and a couple of dashes of tabasco sauce.
Salt & Pepper Oysters with a Tomato Caper Salsa
For the salsa
Mix finely chopped tomato and capers and refrigerate until needed.
For the oysters
Mix a tablespoon of cornflour with freshly ground salt and black pepper. Lightly coat the oysters and deep-fried them for 1 – 2 minutes.
Grilled Oysters with Mirin, Soy and Chilli
For the mirin and soy dressing
Mix one tablespoon of mirin with one tablespoon of soy.
To cook and serve
Add a bit of the dressing to each oyster on the half-shell (I use odd shells I have collected because we get our oysters off the rocks). Top each oyster with a couple of slices of chilli. Grilled the oysters for 1 – 2 minutes.
